Volunteer

Sense Volunteering is about bringing people together to make a big difference to individuals, to groups and to the wider community.

Sense volunteers give us their time, enthusiasm and skills to support more people with complex disabilities.

We are delighted that you are considering joining our volunteer team. If you have any questions, just email volunteer@sense.org.uk - we'd love to hear from you!

Our roles

We are looking for volunteers to support us:

Why volunteer for Sense?

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

For some, volunteering is a way of giving something back to the community or making a difference. It may be that you simply enjoy the challenge of working with others to achieve success, and volunteering may open up a new social network for you.

Alternatively, it may be that you are seeking paid employment and the voluntary time that you spend at Sense will help you to achieve this.

You may have skills and knowledge that you want to share to help others, or your volunteering might uncover hidden talents that you never knew you had!

Whatever the reason for volunteering, you will be doing something worthwhile and rewarding in so many ways.

Our roles

We have a variety of different volunteering opportunities available across the UK, face to face and virtual, requiring a range of different skills and with flexible time commitments. Meet some of our Sense volunteers.

We work together with our volunteers to make sure no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, is isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.
