Nature Detectives | Birmingham 0-4yrs Summer Term

Our Nature Detectives sessions are a targeted support programme which focus on developing interaction skills. Our targeted support programmes run for the full term and provide families with the opportunity to work towards individual targets, in line with recognised frameworks. It's a great choice for families who would like more specialised support, focusing on key areas of their child's development!

Our Nature Detectives sessions take place outdoors, delivered by a qualified Forest School practitioner. From nature crafts, to building shelters and making delicious snacks over the fire pit, there will be a range of different activities each week to support children to build a connection to the world around us and an understanding of we fit within it. Our approach to learning encourages children to lead and offers the opportunity to explore, take risks, make choices and initiate learning for themselves. This supports children to expand on their abilities by developing creativity, navigating real-world situations and build self-belief and resilience.

During this targeted support programme we guide families through activities and techniques to improve interaction, and support personal, social and emotional development. Children will work towards forming relationships, managing behaviours, and developing self-confidence and self-awareness. Families will also receive a resource pack so that they have the tools and ideas to continue this support outside of sessions, and feel confident to do so.

Please note that we recommend families to attend only one targeted support programme per term to ensure you're able to get the most benefit from the programme.
