Aqua Sensory Disco

About the activity:

*Important* Due to high demand, we ask that you only book on one disco per month to allow other families to access the activity. If this activity is fully booked, please email [email protected] with the number of tickets you want, to be adding to the wait list.

An inclusive disco… with a twist! Dance, splash and socialise in New Barnet Leisure Centre’s sensory pool. Their shallow learner pool (depth: 0.9m) has been fitted with multi-sensory technology.

This fun, upbeat aqua disco will be led by Lindsey, a swimming and dance instructor who will coordinate games, dancing and activities in the pool.

Note: Due to pool capacity limitations, you will need to book a ticket for every person who attends the session (including siblings, parents, carers)

Who is it for:

This session is targeted at children and young people aged 4-16 years old, who have complex disabilities. Please note this is quite a shallow pool (depth: 0.9m), but we hope it will still be enjoyable for older (and taller) children.

Important information:

The centre has disabled parking, changing facilities with a hoist, and a pool pod for accessible entry into the water.

A parent/guardian will need to be in the water with the child/young person that they are looking after.
