Briefing the digital team

What is this process for?

The digital and brand and content teams have established a process to support the production of copy, content and assets requested by teams and services across the organisation.

It will bring a range of benefits to you and your project, including simplifying management, strengthening creative work and improving project outcomes.

It will also help us all in our aim to work smarter as an organisation so that we reach our bold and ambitious targets.

If you are working on a project or task that needs some input from the digital and/or brand and content teams, we would like you to follow some simple steps to let us know about the work.

This approach will enable us to collaborate effectively with you and ensure that your project meets its objectives.

What type of project are you planning?

We have identified three types of projects – your project will usually fall into one of these. By doing this, we can effectively manage our time and capacity to complete the work.

  • Runner – 3 weeks’ notice needed
A small-scale task producing a specific item or piece of content that usually stands alone, rather than forming part of a wider project.
  • Repeater – at least 6-8 weeks’ notice needed
These are larger projects that need a variety of assets or different types of content. We’ve usually worked on these projects before, so they feel quite familiar.
  • Stranger – at least 8-12 weeks’ notice needed
These are bespoke projects that need significant time input to develop. They will often be completely new or might seem familiar but have a different set of objectives.

Please note that the timelines indicated are for guidance only; the earlier you tell us about your project, the better. Not sure which category your project falls into? Not a problem. Just get in touch and we’ll help you to work out the best fit and suggest next steps.
