Have your say

A woman with short grey hair has a coat on and is smiling. She's standing in front of the sea.

You’re the people who matter. Your lived experience really matters and people need to know about it.

Otherwise, people don’t know that things need to change. And things really do need to change.

What’s in the survey?

We’ll be asking about things like:

  • Your experience of the rising cost of living.
  • Your hopes for the future and the support you need to achieve those goals.
  • Your experiences using public transport.
  • What you think needs to change to improve the lives of disabled people.
  • Your involvement and engagement in politics.

What happens to the results?

You’ll help make a difference to disabled people’s lives. We’ll use the results of the research to campaign for change across the UK.

Last year we used the results to:

  • Feed into our influencing activity including MP briefings and consultation responses.
  • Give us a better understanding of the issues that are important to people with complex disabilities including those who are deafblind.
  • Support further research on the cost of living and social care for people with disabilities.

Is this survey for me?

This is for you if you live with complex disabilities. If you support someone with complex disabilities, you can help them complete the survey.

Complex disabilities means one of the following applies to you:

  • You have dual sensory impairment, multi-sensory impairment or are deafblind.
  • You have sight or hearing loss, with additional needs (e.g. learning or physical disabilities, or autism)
  • You have combination of other needs – this may include learning disabilities, physical disabilities or autism.

If the online survey isn’t accessible for you, or you’d prefer to share your experiences in another way, please get in touch by emailing [email protected] and we can set up an interview with an interpreter or another alternative format that works for you.
