Seasonal fundraising ideas

Winter

  • Winter quiz: this popular way to fundraise is always a big hit! Escape the cold and ask to host a wintery themed quiz at your local pub.
  • Movie night: could be a Christmas movie or a Valentine’s rom com! Host a screening at your local community centre or local church hall. Ask for a donation on entry. You could raise some extra funds by selling some snacks on the night too.
  • New years resolution: kick a habit and ask people to sponsor you!

Some other wintery ideas to consider:
  • Festive bake sale
  • Present wrapping service
  • Valentine’s day speed-dating evening

Spring

  • Spring picnic: with the weather warming up, why not dust off your picnic blanket and host a picnic in your local park. Put a bucket out for donations.
  • Rounders tournament: if you love a bit of healthy competition, host a rounders tournament and ask for donations to play. You could include a prize for the winning team!
  • Spring clean: You could offer your cleaning services to family and friends for a donation. Or clear out your wanted items and sell them online.

Spring into some of these other ideas:
  • Pancake day pancake flipping competition
  • Easter egg hunt
  • Afternoon tea

Summer

  • Great British BBQ: with the weather warming up, fire up the barbeque and invite your friends and family.
  • Car boot sale: Still got unwanted bits hanging around after your spring clean? Gather these together and head over to a car boot sale. All the proceeds can go towards your fundraising.
  • Ice cream party: who doesn’t love ice cream! This is one for all ages. Create an ice cream station where people can add all the toppings they want- for a donation of course.

    Some more summer time ideas:
  • Sports day
  • Garden cinema screening:
  • Scavenger hunt

Autumn

  • Firework fun: Whether its for Bonfire Night of Diwali, invite your friends and family over and celebrate. Charge for entry or for some warming drinks and snacks.
  • Pumpkin carving competition: everyone can get involved with this spooky season classic. You could even offer a prize for first place.
  • Curry night: bring the nation’s favourite takeaway into your fundraising. Host a curry night with a donation for those wanting to come along. (October is National Curry Week after all!)

    Other Autumnal fundraising ideas:
  • Oktoberfest celebrations
  • Spooky sponsored walk
  • Harvest supper
