Summer Sensory Walk Birmingham
Join our themed sensory walk at Cannon Hill Park. Our Play Leaders will guide you on a fun filled Summer adventure around the different areas of the park. During the walk, we’ll be engaging each of our senses to connect with our surroundings; from discovering what plants we can smell, exploring how different natural materials feel and what animals we can hear. Sensory activities will be included throughout the walk, such as splash sploshing in the river, mud painting, a sensory story and feeding the ducks! Our Sensory walks are a great way for the family to explore the outdoors together whilst developing the senses and can even improve mood and reduce stress.
We recommend bringing wellies, waterproofs, caps and suntan lotion for this adventure for both children and adults! We may find some muddy puddles along the way!
This session we will be walking past a lake with ducks, the route is wheelchair accessible although can be muddy weather dependent especially in the forest area. The park also has a car park (Wildlife Conservation car park, Edgbaston Road, B5 7RL, charges apply unless using blue badge spaces) where we will meet families when they arrive, to begin the session.
