About the activity
Come and join us at our Sensory Sports Day at Middleton Park. All your favourite sports, such as football, tennis, badminton, rounders and snooker delivered in a completely accessible and person-centred way. Activities have been designed specifically for disabled people with complex needs and will be tailored to suit each participant’s individual needs.
Taking part in this activity will help your child to develop coordination, balance and communication skills.
The session will focus on movement and coordination using adaptive sensory equipment to engage with youngsters of all ages and abilities. Engaging with each child both individually and as part of the group, sensory sport activities will be used to stimulate progression whilst having a lot of fun and laughter!
Who is it for?
This session is for disabled children and young people with complex needs who are part of our free Connect and Play Service and those from our Multi-Sensory Impairments(MSI) Services. We also welcome families & siblings to join.

Who is the activity leader?
The activities will be relaxed, delivered by Georgia Cockroft & Emma Smethurst, both experienced sensory sport coaches. Lisa Yung (Sense Early Intervention & Play Leader) and Laura Bebbington (Sense Active) will also be there to support the day.
Accessibility
The venue is wheelchair accessible with paths to and from the car park to the meeting points with no steep inclines. Toilets, including accessible toilets, are located in the visitor centre.
The activities will take place on the grass near to the visitor centre (What3Words///glory.select.mostly)
