Helene Ryles: Writing display launch | Sense TouchBase Pears, Birmingham
You are invited to the launch of Helene Ryles’ new writing display at Sense TouchBase Pears at 11am-12pm on Tuesday 24th June 2025.
Helene Ryles has been supported by Sense for a number of years and lives in one of our supported living flats. Helene is an avid story writer and collector of dolls.
She uses deafblind manual to communicate with the world. Helene is passionate about the environment and living sustainability through veganism & making sustainable choices. Helene is passionate about disability rights. Helene’s power is in her touch & the world is at her fingertips.
This display shares her storytelling through written word and the scenes created by her dolls. Each display has been carefully created by Helene with emphasis on diverse bodies and diverse communication approaches. Helene’s artwork can be enjoyed with both touch and vision.
Light refreshments will be provided. There will also be a tombola!
