Sense Cost of Living Support Fund – easy read
At Sense we know things cost a lot of money and this can make you worry.
At Sense we know that if you have complex disabilities you have extra costs.
Complex disabilities means having two or more disabilities
Sense wants to help you.
You might be able to apply to our new Sense fund.
To apply you must also be able to answer YES to all six questions.
Question 1
Do you or your family member who has a complex disability live together?
Question 2
Is your family home in England, Northern Ireland or Wales?
Question 3
Is your home income less than £30,000?
Question 4
Do you have less than £1,500 in savings?
Question 5
Do you have one means tested benefit or carers allowance?
Question 6
You do NOT have a Debt Relief Order or an Individual Voluntary Arrangement?
Applying to the fund
You could get £500.
Only a paid professional person can apply for you.
You cannot apply for yourself, sorry.
The application form is on the Sense website.
The right person to help you to apply, could be a family support worker, a social worker or a Sense manager.
Plan a meeting, fill in the form together and they will apply for you.
