Sense Holiday costs and payment

The cost of each holiday is included on the listing.
You will also need to get yourself to and from your holiday venue. We cannot provide transport. Please keep this in mind when making your choices.
As the venues we are using are charities, they rely on payments upfront for running of the business. We will be asking for the full price of the holiday to be paid one month before the holiday starts.
Paying a deposit
When you accept an offer of a place on a Sense Holiday, you’ll be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of £200. This will be deducted from the overall cost of your holiday.
Ways to pay
There are many ways to pay, including instalment plans, direct debit and Local Educational Authority (LEA) support hours.
You can speak to your holiday coordinator to support you with this process once your application is accepted.
Family Fund offer a free 10-minute course to find out about grants you or your family may be eligible for.
Money could come from local authority budgets, individual budgets, Direct Payments, or personal funds. We can also share with you a list of charitable organisations which you can approach for funding for Sense Holidays.

The costs include
- Holiday costs: Accommodation, food and activities for Holidaymakers.
- Holiday Leaders: Salaries and training costs.
- Volunteers: Travel expense, accommodation, food, activities and training.
- Communication: Cost of interpreters and transcription.
- Project costs: Holiday planning, administration and monitoring, as well as evaluating safety procedures, equipment and resources.
- Specialist costs: including specialist facilitators, specialist equipment and facilities such as hydro pools and sensory rooms.
Cancelling places
We will always try to support refunds by filling places with our wait list. Please speak to your holiday coordinator if this happens.

Transport
When we send out your offer letter we’ll ask for details of how you are travelling to and from the holiday.
You will need to get yourself to and from your holiday venue. We cannot provide transport.
We’ll also want to know your travel plans in an emergency. We do not have the facilities to provide transportation if you are unwell or in a similar emergency.
