Reporting our April 2025 pay gaps

Sense is committed to reducing its pay gap, as part of our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

The results are based on 2,644 eligible employees and were calculated on information as of 5 April 2025.

Key points this year

  • Reduction in our median and mean gender pay gaps
  • Continuing to report a 0% disability pay gap
  • Ethnicity median is down to 0.15% and mean now at 7.44%

We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion at Sense and these latest pay gap reports evidence that we are making continued progress in offering equity for our colleagues.

In our 70th year; and as we make plans for our next strategic phase, we are proud that we continue to be an organisation that has its people at the heart of everything we do.

Continuing our equality, diversity and inclusion journey

We want to create a workplace where everyone belongs and have made great strides over the past year to continue on our journey. This has included the following which is either due to launch soon, or has already commenced:

  • Full EDI audit and action plan in partnership with Mildon
  • Inclusion and belonging survey and EDI workshops for chief officers’ group, leadership, managers and board of trustees
  • Acting on data and feedback from our employee engagement survey
  • Roll out of our inclusive recruitment training programme
  • Listening to our employee voice and raising the profile of our diversity networks
  • Creating new roles including accessibility lead and developing our people offer for employee and volunteers
