About the activity

Join us on our ‘Going on a bear hunt’ themed sensory walk around Yeadon Tarn. Inspired by the story, Sense Active will be hosting a bear hunt-themed sensory walk around the Tarn followed by a teddy bears’ picnic with relaxed activities. The walk has lots of activities utilising resources and activities to make it fun and engaging for the whole family. Teddy bears welcomed. Bring your own picnic.

Who is this for?

This activity is suitable for disabled children with complex need,  aged 0-8 yrs and their families that access our Connect and Play service. Siblings are welcome too.

Who is the activity leader?

The walk will be relaxed, Delivered by Georgia Cockroft, with the opportunity to walk at your own pace or as a group. The teddy bears’ picnic will be facilitated by Lisa Yung (Sense Early Intervention & Play Leader).

Accessibility

The walk will take place on the designated paths around the tarn. The route is wheelchair accessible with no steep inclines. Toilets, including accessible toilets, are located near the sailing club.

The meeting point for this walk will be between the sailing club and the children’s play park near the bandstand (What3Words///demand.chase.oval)
