Inclusive Cycling | Loughborough
About the activity:
Our inclusive cycling sessions offer a fun and welcoming way to stay active. With a variety of cycles to choose from, you can find the best cycle for you.
By taking part, you’ll boost your strength and coordination, stay independent, and enjoy social connection along the way.
Please note that our July Session will be themed. We’ll be taking on the Tour De Sense, joining forces as a team to cycle as far as we can together! Come along and discover the exciting prizes and special elements we have planned for the day.
Who is this for?
This activity is for disabled people with complex needs. All ages are welcome to come along and find the best bike for them.
We welcome siblings, parents and support staff to join in with the session.
Important: Please note that, for safety reasons and due to weight restrictions, our wheelchair platform bike may not be compatible with certain types of electric wheelchairs. We’ll do our best to accommodate, and we also have an additional wheelchair available on site for use if required.
Who is the activity leader?
The team from Wheels4All have lots of experience working with disabled people with complex needs and are passionate about offering cycling to all.
Accessibility
The activity is held on a large square within Loughborough University, with simple access for wheelchairs or mobility aids. Disabled toilets are located nearby, and access to the university’s changing facility is available if needed.
This venue is located on the Loughborough University campus. Parking is available nearby at Car Park 9, close to Shirley Pearce Square, for a small fee. When you arrive, speak to security at the barrier and they can give you directions from there.
