Annual leave

On joining Sense, full-time staff are given 24 days paid holiday plus bank holidays. This rises up to 28 days the longer you stay with us.

Pension scheme

Our contributory pension scheme options include matching your contributions up to 5% and free financial advice on your pension options.

Salary exchange

Put simply, salary exchange cuts your income tax and National Insurance contributions, and if you have a student loan, reduces your monthly repayments.  You can do salary exchange on your pension contribution and use our tax-free cycle scheme to buy a bike and equipment. 

Life assurance

We give free life assurance that covers twice your salary. 

Discount scheme

We offer a range of employee discounts and 10% off purchases in our charity shops.

Season ticket loan

You can take out a season ticket loan to help you buy a ticket to travel to work.

Health and wellbeing support

We offer Sense Sick Pay to top up Statutory Sick Pay to your full pay, based on how long you have worked for us.  We have a wellbeing programme with information, training and online activities to support you. 

Flexible working arrangements and family-friendly policies

We have a wide range of full time and part time roles and offer flexible working arrangements. Our family leave offer includes paying top ups to maternity, adoption and paternity leave to give you full pay for some of your time off. 

Employee assistance programme

We pay for an employee assistance programme that's available to all of our team members 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. This gives you access to independent and confidential telephone counselling support, personal legal advice and financial information and health advice across a range of medical and wellbeing issues.

Recommend a friend

If you recommend a friend or someone in your family to come and work for Sense, you can be paid up to £200 through our employee referral scheme.
