Tongue-Tickling Trifle


  • 2 packets strawberry or raspberry jelly
  • 2 large jam swiss rolls
  •  1 medium carton of custard
  • 1 pot of whipping cream
  •  Sprinkles or popping candy (optional)

Top tip: Don't have time to whip up a trifle? Sprinkle some popping candy on a pre made trifle to wow your guests.


  1. Make the jelly as per pack instructions
  2. Cut the swiss rolls into small pieces and cover the bottom of your serving dish
  3. Pour the jelly on top of the swiss roll and put in the fridge for 24 hours
  4. Remove and spread the custard on top of the set jelly
  5. Once whipped, add the cream to the top of the trifle. Add your popping candy (if using) and serve immediately. Enjoy!


Jelly Bean Blondies


  • 120g melted butter
  • 220g brown sugar
  • 125g plain flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 100g jelly beans

Top tip: If shop bought brownies are more your thing, why not decorate your brownies by sticking jelly beans on them using icing sugar.


  1. Grease an 8x8in baking tin. Mix the melted butter with the brown sugar and beat until smooth.
  2. Add in the egg, vanilla extract, salt and flour.
  3. Pour into your tin and sprinkle your jelly beans on top.
  4. Bake at 180 C for 20-25 mins, or until set in the middle.
  5. Cool on a rack before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
