We understand that these are uncertain times and you may have questions about your charity place in one of our events.

We've pulled together some of our most frequently asked questions to help address your concerns.

Questions

What happens to my registration fee if my event is cancelled?

If your event is cancelled, we'll try to move you over to the following year. If we're unable to do this, you'll be entitled to a full refund on your registration fee.

What will happen to my fundraising if my event is cancelled?

As a charity we're here for those who are deafblind and those with complex disabilities to ensure they aren’t left out of life and are able to fulfil their potential. We'd be incredibly grateful if you donated the sponsorship money you've raised to us, however, we understand that this isn’t always possible. If your event is cancelled and we can't transfer your place over to the following year all donors will be entitled to a refund. If a donor of yours would like a refund they must contact the charity separately to request this on 0300 330 9257 or email eventsteam@sense.org.uk. It won't happen automatically.

Do you think the London Marathon will go ahead this year?

We're in close contact with the London Marathon event organisers and at the moment the London Marathon is scheduled to go ahead. The organisers are working alongside government advisors to ensure it can be put on as safely as possible. If we hear anything different we'll be in touch to let you know your options.

What happens if I can’t travel to the UK for my event because of ongoing Covid-19 travel restrictions do I get moved to the following year?

You're responsible for your own travel to the UK. If you're unable to travel to the UK because of ongoing travel restrictions, we can't guarantee that we'll be able to move your place over to the following year.

I'm supporting Team Sense in an event with my own place, what do I need to do?

We recommend that you follow the guidance above in relation to postponed/cancelled events and fundraising. You should receive information via email from the organisers of your event. Any questions about your place should be directed to the event organisers. Please do keep us updated with any new arrangements for your challenge and contact us if we can help you in any way.

I'd like to support Team Sense at an event later in the year. What are my options?

We have places in many events later in the year – currently many of these are still due to go ahead, but along with the event organisers we'll be monitoring the situation closely and will make any changes to upcoming events as required. How do I extend the expiry date on my fundraising page?

Most fundraising pages stay active for three months following an event, however, you can extend the closing date for your page.
