65 for Sense

2020 marks Sense’s 65th anniversary and to celebrate, we want you to join us in taking on the 65 for Sense challenge.

Throughout 2020, we are encouraging our supporters to get creative with the numbers 6 and 5 and to take on their own fundraising challenge to celebrate 65 years of Sense.

What can I do?

We have put together some examples of the type of challenge you can do but you can do whatever you fancy (in line with government guidance around social distancing).

Some ideas include:

  • Walking or running 6.5 miles
  • Doing 65 push ups
  • 6.5 hour sponsored silence
  • 65 second handstand
  • Learning 65 new British Sign Language signs

If you want to sign up to take on your very own challenge, just click the Sign Up button to set up your dedicated fundraising page.

Gemma’s Challenge

Gemma took on a set of epic physical challenges for her 65 for Sense challenge. Every day for a week, she completed a 65 minute online exercise class, 65 squats, 65 shoulder presses, 65 bicep curls, 65 tricep lifts and a 65 second plank.

She was joined by other members of the Sense recruitment team who also ran, cycled and walked their own #Sense65 challenges.

Gemma said, “Working at Sense means the world to me and I have had the pleasure of meeting the most amazing adults and children. No matter what their disability, nothing stops them or us ensuring that they are never ever left out of life.”
