Without your support, last year in lockdown could have been so different for children like Tilly. Will you continue to help them through each stage of their lives?

Six-year-old Tilly has a rare chromosome disorder causing poor vision, hearing loss and learning difficulties.

When the first lockdown was announced last year, her mum, Louise, was worried how Tilly would continue to learn and develop with Sense centre's closed.

Thanks to Caitlin, a Sense Children and Family Support Worker, Tilly was able to take part in online sessions and use accessible resources.

Providing virtual support for children

Tilly soon became familiar with the new routine. She began to introduce herself using the ‘T’ sign, sign and sing along to songs and take part in the story activities.

What could have been an isolating time for Tilly during lockdown has instead been enriching and enjoyable for her, thanks to the expertise of Sense Children and Family Support Workers.

Please will you give a gift today to ensure that more children like Tilly get the support they need?
