What the ladybird heard | Birmingham (5-8yrs)
Join us for a family day full of sensory fun as we explore the story of 'what the ladybird heard' by Julia Donaldson! We'll be sharing this wonderful tale, which has been adapted to suit the needs of our children, and engage the senses to enhance the story and really bring it to life!
We'll be starting the day with a sensory story. To help your child experience the story in different ways, we'll be guiding you through a range of activities, including arts and crafts, messy play, sensory bags and more! Your child will be able to use their senses to touch, hear and move their way through the story for an enhanced experience.
We'd love to invite you to join us for lunch! We'll be providing light refreshments; sandwiches, crisps, fruit and biscuits, as well as hot drinks. If you'd prefer to bring your own food, that's absolutely, fine just let us know in your booking form.
During the afternoon, we'll be heading outdoors to explore! We'll be immersing ourselves in the story of what the ladybird heard through a sensory walk around Sense's garden area and along the local, Canal. Along the way, children will be asked to find various objects, explore different textures, listen for sounds all relating to the tale. Once we return from our walk, we'll be sharing our discoveries and treasures before enjoying some ladybird themed mini games to end the day!
