Spooky Sensory Walk | Birmingham 0-8yrs

Join us for a 'spooky' sensory walk at Cannon Hill Park. Our Play Leaders will guide you on a fun filled adventure around the different areas of the park. During the walk, we’ll be engaging each of our senses to connect with our surroundings; from discovering what plants we can smell, exploring how different natural materials feel and what animals we can hear. Autumn and Halloween based activities  will be incorporated in to the walk including a Halloween 'find it' game. Our Sensory walks are a great way for the family to explore the outdoors together whilst developing the senses and can even improve mood and reduce stress.

Halloween costumes are welcome, though we would also encourage layers and wellies to suit the weather!

This session we will be walking past a lake with ducks, the route is wheelchair accessible. The session will end with a small craft activity. The park also has a car park (Wildlife Conservation car park, Edgbaston Road, B5 7RL, charges apply unless using blue badge spaces) where we will meet families when they arrive, to begin the session.

Who is it for?

This session is for families who are part of our free Connect and Play service, which supports children with complex disabilities. If you’re not sure whether this session is for you, please complete our service enquiry form or contact [email protected] to speak with a member of our team.

At least one parent/carer must attend the full session with each child and siblings are also welcome to attend for free.
