Sound Seekers | Birmingham

Sound Seekers is an accessible one on one music session, led by one of our expert musicians, exploring instruments, sound and creative expression. The aim is to find ways to make sounds that suit the individuals own unique abilities or work towards them feeling comfortable enough to engage with instruments. We have a wide range of instruments available as well as different ways to experience music through vibration.

This can be a first step towards more focused musical work where we can investigate pattern recognition and music creation.

You may bring up to 2 people plus support.

Sessions on 28th November and 12th December 10:00am-12:45pm only

On these sessions our resident artist will be joined by musicians from Orchestra of the Swan to add orchestral elements to musical motifs.

Who is it for?

Anyone, of any age, who might enjoy exploring music, or developing their creative expression, including d/Deaf and hearing impaired people.

Access

Tactile listening techniques will be used where possible to enhance the sonic experience for hearing impaired people.
