Sensory Walk | Loughborough 0-8yrs

Join us for a special sensory walk at Melton Country Park. Our Play Leaders will guide you on a fun filled adventure around the different areas of the park. During the walk, we’ll be engaging each of our senses to connect with our surroundings; from discovering what plants we can smell, exploring how different natural materials feel and what animals we can hear. Our Sensory walks are a great way for the family to explore the outdoors together whilst developing the senses and can even improve mood and reduce stress and anxiety.

Across the sessions, there will be 2 route options; our walks 25 July, 01 August, 15 August, will include walking past a pond with ducks. The other dates, 08 August, 22 August, will avoid the open water. Each route is wheelchair accessible and will end with a small craft activity and light refreshment at the parks café which will have safety barriers around, especially for Connect and Play families. The park also has a free car park where we will meet families when they arrive, to begin the session.
