Sensory Walk | Bristol

About the activity

Join us for an immersive Sensory Walk around St George's Park. Children will be encouraged to use all of their senses to fully interact with nature whilst being lightly active. We will also incorporate some fun activities and breathing practices to help encourage mindfulness. Taking part in this activity will help children to improve their independence, communication and mental wellbeing.

Please park in Chalks Road car park (free for 3 hours) and meet by the metal barrier at the entrance to the park. The walk will run from 1.30-3.00pm, after which you are welcome to enjoy an ice cream and other refreshments from the kiosk, or bring along a picnic rug and enjoy the park at your leisure.

Who is this for?

This activity is suitable for children aged between 5-18 with complex disabilities and/or sensory impairments. Siblings, parents and carers are welcome to join the walk as well.

About our activity leader

These sessions will be led by Jazuela Wall, a fully trained yoga teacher and sensory walk leader with specialist experience working with children with SEND. She is calm, friendly and patient.
