Birmingham Open Music Studio: Digital Luthiers at Sense Arts Fest 2024
About the activity
Join us on the Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th September for an Open Studio at Touchbase Pears! We'll be focusing on the best examples of accessible music making as we prepare for the upcoming Sense Arts Fest!
Expect building temporary and experimental instruments, and sensory items that will help you explore and test ideas that could inspire the people we support.
Who is this for?
This activity is for children, young people, and adults with complex disabilities and/or sensory impairments. You do not need any prior experience with making music. Carers are welcome!
About our activity leader
These sessions will be led by Artistic Director for Music Kris Halpin and Gawain Hewitt who runs Youth Music project 'Digital Luthiers'. They will be supported by Able Orchestra and Sense staff.
Kris and Gawain have plenty of knowledge and experience working with people with disabilities, and are friendly, enthusiastic and patient.
