August Activity Day for Adults | Dover
About the activity
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at Biggin Hall this August!
Adults aged 18+ with disabilities and/or sensory impairments will have the opportunity to create zines based on what matters to you. It could be:
- Disability rights and policy,
- Upcoming Dover Pride and LGBTQ+ issues,
- Or everyday life in Dover.
Make your zine by drawing, painting, collaging, printing and more! Come for as long as you like and dip in and out of the activities at your leisure. Taking part helps improve coordination, teamwork skills and confidence.
Please ensure you sign up so that we can monitor attendance. Further details will be circulated nearer the time.
Dates and times are as follows:
19th August, from 11.00am
Who is this for?
This activity is for adults aged 18+ with disabilities and/or sensory impairments. You do not need any prior experience. If required, carers are welcome!
About our activity leader
This session will be led by Artist-Educator Polly Brant, with support from Arts Facilitator Michelle Stannard from Access, Arts and Adventure, and the Sense team.
Polly likes turning art into bright, colourful, tactile publications. Her inclusive approach means everyone can take part regardless of ability. Both Polly and Michelle have plenty of knowledge and experience working with people with disabilities, and are friendly, enthusiastic and patient.
