More than 2,000 people work at Sense in a wide range of different roles across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Everyone who works with Sense has a passion and talent for helping people with complex communication needs to express themselves and connect with the world around them.

You may be starting out or you may have already built up considerable experience working in the voluntary, private or public sector. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, your skills, experience and enthusiasm will be rewarded at Sense, whether you’re looking to work directly with children, families or adults in our services, or seeking opportunities in other areas, including fundraising, shop management, human resources, IT, public relations or finance.

Whatever your role at Sense, you’ll be supported in every way to meet the challenges of your job and to continue to learn and develop your skills.

Support Worker

Our Support Workers enable people to live independently, make choices and express themselves. These roles are based in a variety of settings, including people's homes, the community and Sense Centres.

The job does have its challenges, but is extremely rewarding. Ben and Sean have the right to be independent. It’s about choices and living life to the full.

Team Leader

Our Team Leaders support people to develop valuable life skills and experience a wide range of educational, recreational and leisure activities.

All walks of life, age doesn’t matter and you don’t have to have experience… staff have come from printing, retail, straight from university. My staff are all different, but they all bring something different to the team.

Registered Manager

Our Registered Managers provide a personal, responsive and high quality service to the people we support.

I’ve learnt that we’ve all got different management styles. It doesn’t matter what style you have, it’s about finding your own identity. It has opened me up and helped to discover a lot about myself.
