Sense College East Senior Management Team (SMT)

Jenny Wheatcroft, Principal

“I provide day to day operational management and leadership for part of the portfolio of Sense College East Centres, supporting the strategic priorities for growth as highlighted in Sense strategy.

“I’m responsible for the operational delivery of both education and adult social care funded provision across Sense College sites in my area of responsibility.  I also support the Executive Principal, SCE Principal and college senior management team in working towards our goal of delivering Outstanding provision within the Ofsted regulatory framework for our education funded learners.”

“As Finance Manager, I am responsible for ensuring the sound financial management and health of Sense Colleges in keeping with all contractual agreements with all funding stakeholders in order to develop, improve and deliver on educational provisions and services for our students.”

Helen Mills, Vice Principal Curriculum & Quality

“As Vice Principal Curriculum and Quality, I am responsible and passionate about ensuring high quality education for all learners at Sense College East. This includes management of the specialist assessment team to ensure all learners access needs are provided for. I support the education teams, quality assure delivery and assessment to ensure our staff have the expertise, confidence and access to training, information and practice sharing to continuously enhance the college experience for all learners to reach their full potential.”

Lynne Marsh, Vice Principal Operations

“As PA, it’s my responsibility to provide high level administrative support to Sense College Principal, and the college senior management team, ensuring the efficiency of management processes and administrative systems for the operational directorate and the college. 

“I am also responsible for arranging external training for all college staff, supporting with Ofsted inspections as appropriate and managing the college administration team.”

“I am responsible for the provision of pro-active high-level administrative and coordination support to Sense College East Governing Body and its two sub committees and any extra-ordinary Governing Body meetings held.

“I also support the development of joint working with Sense College Loughborough providing administrative and coordination support to Sense College Loughborough Governing Body and its two sub committees. Following the acquisition of Sense College Loughborough, a key part of my work is to support the Principal in the development of an overarching Governing Body to oversee both SCE and SCL provision.

“I also provide pro-active high-level administrative support working collaboratively with the PA to the Principal and college senior management team.”
