Employability pathway at Sense College

Young man sitting at a desk using a laptopThe Employability pathway at Sense College supports you to move into employment and develop your skills for the workplace.

You'll get support from a job coach to break down tasks and skills for more manageable learning, as well as support on facilitating social situations, travel arrangements and in applying for Access to Work for reasonable adjustments.

To get a place on the Employability pathway you'll need to have had previous careers advice to make sure a supported internship is the right route for you.

If you're in the early stages of thinking about your career you might benefit from taking this pathway alongside our Learning for Life or Foundation Learning pathways.

Supported internship

Sense College learners on the Employability pathway will spend a substantial amount of time in the workplace in a voluntary role. The supported internship acts as an extended interview, letting you show your ability to do the job with the potential to secure paid employment after the internship.
