Make your own colour foam

How to do this activity

What you’ll need

  • Shaving foam for sensitive skin
  • Food colouring
  • Jars or a cupcake tray
  • A spoon

Step 1

Put a few drops of food colouring in the bottom of each jar or section of the cupcake tray. Try mixing different colours together to make new ones. Then, top up with foam.
Carefully mix together with the spoon until the colours are fully blended with the foam.

Step 3

Have fun! You can use a paintbrush to create pictures with the foam on paper, play with it outside, or even in the bath!

Top tips

  • You can make the colour foam in a large tub, by filling with foam then adding drops of the food colouring on top
  • Try adding your coloured foam to a single large tub
  • If you don’t have a cupcake tray, mix your coloured foam in small bowls
