As a Sense fundraising volunteer
As part of our Fundraising team you can yell at the top of your voice about our work, get creative in your community or develop a quieter relationship with local businesses to support our work with deafblind people.
Whatever your skills, we have a role for you. Take a look at some of our key roles below:
Spreading the word about our work is vital and we need your support to achieve this. With the help of our team Sense Speakers support the charity by delivering talks to local schools, interest groups and societies about the work that the charity do.
Bucket collection coordinator
We are organising our first national bucket collection campaign this year and are looking for local heroes to help coordinate the events at supermarkets, train stations, sports grounds and garden centres.
"I knew I had the skills, but it was great to develop them in a completely different context.."
Zoe, Sense volunteer
Coordinators are our link to each venue and help us recruit more volunteers to take part.
Think you have the creative flair to organise your own event or are you keen to help out on one of our own challenges? We need individuals capable of hosting charity football matches and fashion shows as well as cheerleaders and marshalls to help our sporting heroes throughout the busy hustle and bustle at events like London Marathon and the Ridgewalk.
Collection box coordinator
By building relationships with local retailers and businesses our collection box coordinators raise thousands for deafblind people each year. Join our team as a coordinator in your area and help us continue this work.
Join a fundraising group
If you are looking for a way to meet new people whilst making a difference why not set up a fundraising group in your community or join one of our existing groups? Supporters meet regularly in a social setting and discuss how they can make a splash. You can get more information here.
For other ideas, our Community fundraising team are on hand with excellent tips, information and advice on how to go out there and raise cash on our behalf.
