Samira Ahmed, Annual Sense Lecture presenterPresenter and journalist Samira Ahmed has presented the Annual Sense Lecture for the last three years. Samira presents the BBC One ethics discussion programme, Sunday Morning Live and Newswatch on BBC One and the BBC News channel. On radio she presents Night Waves on Radio 3 and The Strand on the World Service.

Her freelance work as a journalist and presenter includes BBC  Radio 4 News and Current Affairs programmes PM, The World Tonight and Profile, the R4 interview strand One To One and Radio 4′s religion and ethics programme, Sunday. She has been a panellist on BBC Two's The Review Show and Have I Got News for You.

Samira writes a monthly column in The Big Issue, is a Visiting Professor of Journalism at Kingston University and lectures regularly on journalism at schools and universities. She is also a Trustee of the Film Club charity, the independent think tank British Future, and a patron of the Hopscotch Asian Women’s Centre and the Kiran Women’s Refuge in London.
