BBC News presenter Louise Minchin first supported Sense when she interviewed celebrity photographer Dave Hogan for our Deafblind Awareness Week in 2009. She had been discussing Dave's work in capturing images that best represent life for deafblind people today.
Later that year, Louise agreed to host the Sense Awards in London, going on to host our Sense International Ball in 2011. She also joined Sense's Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, for a Sense supporters' afternoon tea.
Louise said: "I am so impressed by the dedication, innovation and good work of the people I met. The Sense Awards are a great way of recognising those that make a real difference to the lives of deafblind people."
