Two-time Olympic Marathon Runner, Commonwealth Games Medalist, Founder of Yelling Performance
I’m delighted to support the 2013 Sense Ridgewalk – as a two time Olympic Marathon runner, and Commonwealth Games medalist, I know what it’s like to undertake some pretty tough challenges, and the Ridgewalk is definitely one that will require strength, determination and stamina. But boy will it be worth it! With the correct training and with the support of your team mates, the emotions and feelings of elation on crossing the finish line will be hard to match and you’ll also be raising vital funds for Sense, the amazing national charity that supports and campaigns for the 250,000 children and adults in the UK who are deafblind, making a sustainable and meaningful difference to the lives of deafblind people and their families.
I now run my own sports coaching consultancy, where we firmly believe in the passion and potential inside everyone. We help people to accomplish more and achieve their impossible. I would encourage everyone to sign up for the 2013 Ridgewalk now – give yourselves plenty of time to prepare, train and then see yourself achieve what you never imagined you could, whilst supporting an amazing charity at the same time. Good luck everyone!
