Soprano singer and recording artist
It’s a pleasure to lend my support to Sense, the national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind, for their Vision 5k Walk at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in March 2013.
As a ‘North Country Lass’ myself, I encourage everyone to sign up for the fantastic Yorkshire day out which will see you blindfolded to explore some of the Park’s most inspiring sculptures so you can get fully to grips with their textures, scents and sounds. As a musician and singer, my sight and hearing are hugely important to me - but this walk will show you what it’s like to be without one of your senses and just how hard it can be to be deafblind. Come along to the Vision 5k Walk, and support Sense in their fantastic work to help deafblind children and adults to become full and active members of society; and most of all, have a fantastic day out. Enjoy yourselves everyone!
