Get involved in our events
From marathons to dinners, family days to conferences; Sense events are about more than just having fun. They are about support, awareness raising, information-sharing and raising vital funds, all of which support Sense’s work with deafblind people and their families.
Our events are successful because of our hard-working and enthusiastic volunteers, supporters and staff. So thank you to everyone who generously throws their energies and time into Sense events, making them as brilliant as they can possibly be. To find out what events are going on in your area, please see our Local to you page.
Events for deafblind people and their families
Sense organises and supports many events for deafblind people and their families. These events enable people to come together to share ideas, experiences, information and have fun. Types of events range from conferences to family days, lobbies to award ceremonies, sibling weekends to lectures. There is something for everyone.
"It was a great day, so much to take in, there was lots to see and do. I really enjoyed the experience and met loads of new people."

"At every event our inner battery supply is recharged ready for the next few weeks months or year. Talking to other families, sharing ups and downs, and snippets of information that may seem trivial to outsiders are monumentally important to those of us on the inside! This event gave us this much needed boost."
