Fundraising Board

The purpose of the Fundraising Board is to support the Sense fundraising function by making key introductions within their networks, organising events and giving in kind support.

Graham Handy - EY

Graham HandyGraham began his career in insurance working for Zurich Financial Services (then named Allied Dunbar) in the UK. Graham moved to EY in London in 2000, and to EY in Asia-Pacific in 2008 to lead the build out of EY's insurance advisory teams across South East Asia and Hong Kong. Graham has worked across the globe with insurance and financial services companies, advising on financial, operational and strategic challenges.

He has worked to implement enterprise-wide risk management frameworks, evaluated many potential insurance transactions, assisted clients with post-acquisition integration, built full model-office reporting and projection models, and assessed major outsourcing transactions as part of insurers’ drive to operational efficiency.

Today he leads the EY Insurance Risk practices across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa helping the life and P&C insurance industries  process substantial regulatory and market change.

Caroline Vanovermeire - Effra Consult

Effra Consult works with individuals and teams to create business value through an organisation’s core asset: its people. As such Effra specialises in working with organisations who are at an inflexion point due to growth and/or disruption.

Caroline is an experienced Organisational Development professional and trusted Leadership Advisor. She is a Faculty member for Barclays, supporting the senior leadership in achieving the Go-To Bank strategy and change journey. Caroline was previously the Global Head of Organisational Development for all Support functions at Barclays and a Principal at Heidrick & Struggles’ Global Leadership Advisory practice where she spearheaded their relationship with Sense.

Caroline is a key supporter of Sense and a proud member of the Corporate Fundraising board since 2011.

Dean Lumer - Knadel

Close up photo of Dean LumerBefore co-founding Knadel (a specialist consultancy to the investment management industry), Dean spent 14 years as an investment management industry professional and 12 years as a management consultant - initially with Ernst & Young.

Prior to joining the Sense International Board of Trustees, Dean has been involved with the charity in a number of capacities. Dean’s company Knadel sponsor the Sense International website, take corporate tables at Sense International events and have competed in Dragon Boat Racing and Quiz Night fundraising initiatives. Dean’s wife and son have also volunteered for Sense UK and Dean has completed a Sense International fundraising trek to K2 base camp.

Darryl Coulter - Hitachi Consulting

Close up photo of Darryl CoulterDarryl is senior legal counsel at Hitachi Consulting, a global management consulting and IT services business. He was previously general counsel with the Celerant Consulting and Oiltools International groups. A qualified solicitor, he was listed in The Lawyer's 'Hot 100' 2013. He lives in London with his wife and three young sons.

One of the most regular faces on the UK and international marathon and ultramarathon circuits, he has in recent years used his running to raise funds for Sense, both via sponsorship and by delivering talks together with the Sense fundraising team at schools, which led to his invitation to join the Fundraising Board.

Simon Jackson - NEC Display Solutions

Close up photo of Simon JacksonSimon Jackson is Vice President for NEC Display Solutions Europe, overseeing strategic & global business.

Simon also leads the Digital Cinema & Healthcare teams for EMEA, the former started with the conversion to digital projection within the theatres and continues with the swift adoption of various forms of digital media.

Previous roles before NEC included a few years cutting his teeth at Lloyds of London before moving on to a mixture of Taiwanese, Hong Kong & Japanese tech companies.

Simon is based in Surrey and has a seven-year-old daughter.

Francisco Lorca - EthosData

Francisco LorcaFrancisco is the founder and CEO of EthosData, a global provider of virtual data room services for mergers and acquisitions. EthosData partly owned by Moody's Analytics (NYSE: MCO).  Francisco is also co-Managing Director of Startbootcamp Fintech London helping fintech startups accelerate their business,  build their offering and raise funding.

Prior to EthosData, Francisco worked in McKinsey and Company, GE, and more recently in First Data International focusing on global payments, merchant acquiring and mobile payments.

Francisco is also co-founder of Aristeia Press with his wife Samantha Devin.
