Celebrity pompom makers
Artist and fashion designer Alex Noble, who has collaborated with clients including MTV, Cirque Du Soleil, Diesel and Redbull, has lent his support, and said:
"I was really happy to be asked to be a part of The Great Sense Pompom Challenge. As an artist, my passion is creativity - I can't imagine what it must be like to be without my sight and hearing and I love how this Challenge has made me think more about my other senses.
"By making a pompom you can tune in to your own sense of touch and connect with deafblind people."
Artist Stella Vine is supporting The Great Sense Pompom Challenge. She says:
"I'm delighted to support the Great Sense Pom Pom Challenge. As an artist, I know how much creativity can bring to our lives, so I encourage everyone to get involved with making their own Pompoms to raise awareness of deafblindness and Sense's work - good luck, and cannot wait to see the finished results!".
Katie Greengrass, celebrity stylist and costume designer, was delighted to be asked to be a celebrity supporter of The Great Sense Pompom Challenge.
She has created a fantastic pompom-inspired 'pink-punk' corsage, and given us some ways to 'style up your pompom' - what more could we want from one of our most stylish celebrity supporters?
Katie told us: "Pink's THE shade of Autumn/Winter 2013, and my favourite colour, so my pompom just had to be pink!! The pompom inspired pink-punk badge I've created is a perfect addition to my vintage jumper.
"Here's a top styling tip for all the Sense pompom makers - hairspray on everything that glitters - it keeps the granules in place for hours!
Good luck everyone with making your pompoms - get involved and help Sense create as many pompoms as they can to increase awareness and support for the great work they do supporting deafblind children and adults".
Actor and writer Phil Gallagher, star of the BBC CBeebies children's arts and crafts programme, Mister Maker, is supporting the Challenge. He says:
"I am really delighted and very proud to support The Great Sense Pompom Challenge. I encourage everyone to get creative, get involved and help Sense raise awareness of the fantastic work they are doing to support and campaign for deafblind people.
"With love, Phil Gallagher from Mister Maker".
