Anthony Head and Sarah Fisher

Anthony Head and Sarah FisherAnimal behaviour expert and horse lover, Sarah Fisher and her partner, actor Anthony Head, are honoured to be Ambassadors for the Friends of Sense Stables.

Sarah has worked with animals for over seventeen years, and lectures around the UK and internationally on dog and horse handling and behaviour. In 2011 she went to Romania, where she worked with traumatised and neglected horses and her book ‘The Difficult Horse’ will be released this year. She has appeared on television and radio many times, and was a judge on Over the Rainbow (BBC1) for Andrew Lloyd Webbers search for Toto.

Anthony has unquestionably one of the most recognisable voices (and faces) on television. Among his many notable roles he's played a King ('Merlin'), a Prime Minister ('Little Britain') and a teacher of vampire slayers ('Buffy the Vampire Slayer'). He is also the man whose golden blend of smooth sophistication and velvety seduction single-handedly made the Gold Blend adverts well known! Anthony has appeared in some of the most successful movies of recent times, from 'The Iron Lady' to 'The Inbetweeners Movie'.

Sarah and Anthony were delighted to discover the Sense Stables and the opportunity they offer the deafblind to overcome new challenges and develop their sense of self esteem and confidence.

Sarah says:

‘The ethos and work of the Sense Stables would be something that Anthony and I would be proud to support. Count us in! It is so inspirational to see how people are learning new skills, achieving independence and stretching themselves so they discover what they are capable of, all through engaging with horses for the first time. As horse lovers, Anthony and I are both really excited to lend our support and raise awareness of this really important project’.
