Sense was honoured when the BBC's top political presenter, Andrew Marr helped to launch a vital fundraising appeal which enables deafblind children to enjoy essential, fully supported holidays. It also gives their parents much needed respite.
Andrew has personal experience with deafblindness - his father-in-law, the late Lord Ashley who was deaf, was instrumental in getting the Deafblind Bill passed through Parliament.
Andrew is best known for presenting The Andrew Marr Show on BBC One and Start the Week on BBC Radio 4, to which he recently returned to hosting after suffering a major stroke. We are delighted to see Andrew back on screen - read a recent Guardian interview with him.
