Adrian Moorhouse MBE
Olympic Gold Medalist 1998, Swimming World Champion, and Founder of Lane4.
It’s a pleasure to lend my support to the 2013 Sense Ridgewalk – a seriously tough walking challenge across Oxfordshire and Wiltshire will need you to use absolutely all of your fitness, determination and enthusiasm to complete a route of up to 52 miles, along the oldest road in Britain. But what better motivation than raising vital funds for Sense, the charity that supports and campaigns for the 250,000 children and adults in the UK who are deafblind.
I won an Olympic gold medal at the Seoul Games in 1988 and was world number one in swimming for six consecutive years. I then founded Lane4, offering companies training in leadership and teamwork as well as coaching – the business rather than the athletic version – along with helping individuals and teams achieve their fullest potential. My journey has been long and varied – but what has always made me tick is mastery of whatever I’m doing. I encourage you to sign up now for the 2013 Ridgewalk to give yourselves time to master whatever it takes to complete this fantastic challenge, achieve your potential and feel the elation of crossing the finishing line as a team. Good luck!
