Elliot came to Sense with profound hearing loss, very limited vision and no means of communicating with those around him.
Imagine being unable to express when you are in pain, hungry, or to tell your family that you love them.
For Elliot, like so many other deafblind children and their families, this is a reality.
How Sense supports Elliot
Elliot came to Sense where our staff were able to offer him a specialist assessment.
With this knowledge we could then provide individual therapy and help Elliot to learn how to develop and communicate with his mother and work to reach his fullest potential.

You can help light up the life of another deafblind child today by using the donate button below to give a gift to help children like Elliot.
All gifts will go towards Sense’s vital work with children who have complex communication needs, including those who are deafblind, as well as the wider work of Sense. This is to help ensure that we can be there throughout the journey of a child’s life and could include our work with young people and adults.
