Eight-year-old Connor is visually impaired and struggles with his hearing. Life can be tough for Connor. Like most children his age, he just wants to make friends and have fun. Sadly, his disabilities can make this difficult and as he gets older, he’s started feeling more and more left out.
How Sense supports Connor
Connor and his mum recently went on a special Sense weekend away. Connor loved playing in the soft play area, getting stuck into some colourful arts and crafts and of course, dancing at the disco! Connor made some brilliant new friends and spent some quality time with his mum – but most of all, he was able to put aside his worries about fitting in and focus on having an amazing weekend away.
“You’ll never know how much it means just knowing that someone’s there to help. There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel with Sense’s support.”
Charlotte, Connor’s mum
Your gift of £208 could pay for a deafblind child and their family to enjoy a fun-packed, confidence-boosting Sense activity day.
