This is an easy-to-follow inclusive sports workshop, which can be done in your own space. You don’t need any special equipment either – just follow the video at your own pace and enjoy learning new skills! This is video three of a series of six.

This is a sports activity that promotes fitness and wellbeing, and helps people use their senses to connect with their surroundings, exploring touch while supporting independent choice and learning new skills.
What happens in the video?
Before you get started, make sure you have a clear space around you, a chair nearby, a glass of water and remember to take breaks if you need. You’ll need a larger ball.
First, practice throwing ‘knee to tree’, throwing from your knee upwards to where a tree would be, only letting go of the ball once your arm reaches where the tree would be, and then letting it drop. It can bounce as many times as you like.
Try the above step, but try to only let the ball bounce once before you catch it.
Now try but only using one hand!
Use a partner or wall for this next step. Throw the ball, and practice throwing from your ‘knee to tree’, let the ball bounce once and catch it.
