How to do this activity

What you’ll need

  • Small bowl
  • Spoon
  • Wash cloth
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp oil (coconut or olive)
  • ½ a mashed avocado, a mashed banana, or some natural yoghurt
A banana, honey and oats

Step 1

Lay out the ingredients and choose which ones you’d like to use, exploring the different smells and textures. Ultimately you will want a thick paste that isn’t too runny, so choose something thick like avocado or banana or yoghurt to nourish, oil to moisturize and honey for its health properties.

Step 2

Combine the ingredients in a bowl. Start with the thicker ingredient and add the honey then the oil, try to make sure it stays fairly gloopy – things like oat flour are good for thickening mixtures that have become too runny.

Step 3

Your mask is ready to use. Apply to face or hands leave for 5-15 min and enjoy the pampering! You could gently massage the mask into the hands while you wait, before washing off with warm water and a washcloth.
