College Event fundraiser, nationwide

We are looking for an Event Fundraiser to set up a series of fundraising activities across the academic year in support of Sense.

What will I be doing?

• Developing ideas and fundraising opportunities which are specific to campus life
• Working in close partnership with the Regional Fundraising managerto ensure opportunities are maximised
• Creating and developing new and unique initiatives
• Recruiting new members to your team as necessary.

What skills and attributes do I need?

• Desire to make a difference to the lives of local deafblind people
• A self starter with the desire to succeed
• An interest in working in charity post graduation
• Enthusiasm.
• Ability to motivate and manage a group of volunteers.
• Communication skills
• Organisational skills

How much time do I need to commit?

As a volunteer, you control the time you give and we hope that you will be able to fit volunteering in with your work and other commitments.

What support will I be given?

• Sense will provide all the training and support you need to feel comfortable in the role.
• You will be given a local staff contact and standby contacts.
• The Regional Fundraising Manager is available to answer any other queries.

Where will I be based?
You will be based in and around your campus. You will not be expected to travel more than 30 miles to volunteer.
