Elliot, a young deafblind boy

Sense is running a special TV appeal for our work with children who are both deaf and blind.

You can watch the appeal or read the transcript. Please make a donation now and help us bring a child like Elliot into our world.

Sense is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind

What to donate

Sense charity shops always appreciate your donations. We try to obtain the most value possible from every item that you donate to us. Sense shops sell, and can benefit from donation of, a variety of goods including:

  • modern fashions and retro-clothing
  • handbags, shoes and accessories
  • costume and genuine jewellery
  • antique and collectables
  • linen and household items
  • electrical goods
  • hardback and paperback books
  • CD's, cassette tapes, records and singles
  • videos and DVDs
  • toys and games
  • bric-a-brac.

Our shops also require clean carrier bags so we can recycle them for our customers in the shop. We also collect unwanted foreign or pre-decimal currency.

In some of our larger shops we also sell furniture. If you have an item of furniture you wish to donate to support Sense, please contact your local Sense shop or warehouse for details. Unfortunately, due to the cost involved in the safe disposal of older foam filled furniture, Sense reserves the right to refuse certain types of furniture.
