Elliot, a young deafblind boy

Sense is running a special TV appeal for our work with children who are both deaf and blind.

You can watch the appeal or read the transcript. Please make a donation now and help us bring a child like Elliot into our world.

Sense is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind

Leave a gift in your will

Every legacy gift Sense receives is crucial to our work. Over a quarter of our donated income comes from gifts in wills.

Without these special gifts we would not be able to provide the essential support that deafblind people and their families will always need. In fact we would have to cut back our services and make some very difficult decisions.

Making a will is one of the most important actions you will ever take. A will ensures that all those you want to help - family, friends and charities - benefit from your generosity. Deciding to make a difference by leaving Sense a gift in your will is a commitment to life.

A legacy is the gift of a lifetime. Sometimes it’s hard to be able to afford to give as much as we would like to the causes we care about. For many of us, that changes when we make a will. Once we have made provisions for our loved ones and friends we have an opportunity to make that gift of a lifetime.

Whether £100 or £100,000, legacy gifts to registered charities are always free of inheritance tax so leaving part of your estate as a gift to charity may reduce the amount of tax payable.

By leaving a legacy to Sense we can offer help, advice and services for so many more. Our outreach services are at capacity and many deafblind people are not able to get the support they need.

Sense have produced a short video showing how Sense outreach workers really can change lives. This powerful short film shows how life changed for the family of a deafblind child after Sense became involved.
