Ernst & Young supporting Sense through art
Ernst & Young has supported Sense since 2005. The company has played a major role in the Sense Corporate Development Board and the Sense in the City series of events.
Ernst & Young hosted 'Expression through Art' in September 2009. This event was organised by a Disability Working Group started by Ernst & Young, members of the group include representatives of professional London firms.
On display were pieces created by deafblind artists at Sense day centres. The event, open to people from E&Y and other professional service firms, gave a rare and interesting insight into deafblindness. The deaflbind artists also shared their experiences with E&Y staff and members of inter-professional firms such as Accenture, Clifford Chance and KPMG that are represented on the Disability Working Group. A silent auction of the art raised over £3,000. The artists were thrilled to find out there art was appreciated by the business professionals.
Ernst & Young continue to support Sense events.
