Sue and Andy

"When we met, we just feel in love"

“You have to enjoy your life, life is too short,” says Sue. For Sue, this certainly appears to be the case. Both she and her husband, Andy, have Usher, and met through Sense eight years ago.

How Sense supports Sue and Andy

But getting out and about is not always easy, especially for Sue who finds walking difficult without a guide. To help them both they have a Sense support worker who can drive them to appointments and help them with everyday tasks outside the house.

Andy points out the isolation of being restricted to the home. And this is why Sense is there to help people not just with the chores of daily routine, but with a deafblind person’s social life as well. Sue and Andy make it clear: “we go out, we have a laugh, we have a good time.”

Support the work Sense does

£20 could pay for an hour with a Sense support worker, who will be the eyes and ears of Sue and Andy. A small donation can go a long way in supporting the work Sense does.
